This study was conducted to find out the relationship between social factors and academic achievement of university students. The study was quantitative in nature, descriptive in method and a survey technique was used to collect the data. A simple random sampling technique was used to draw the sample from the population. A Five- Pointed Likert Scale questionnaire was developed for students. Data were collected personally by the researcher after testing the reliability and validity of the instrument. The collected data were analyzed using mean, frequency and percentage through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). It was found that students spend most of their time with their fellows and help each other if they have difficulty. Furthermore, all students follow discipline according to university rules. It is recommended that seminars and conferences may be arranged for university students about how to cooperate with each other and know how to deal with problems.
